Fylde Coast Mission

Don reports on his weekend mission in Cleveleys, near Blackpool
4 July 2018

Last weekend I visited All Saints Anchorsholme, in Cleveleys. On Saturday, I spoke at a morning prayer meeting and afterwards a lady told me that she had been trapped in negative thinking about herself for weeks. But as I spoke about Jesus' parable of the wheat and weeds she was completely released from the negative thinking and set free.

On Sunday evening, I spoke at a Healing Service and many people came forward for healing prayer. One young lady, who had only visited the church a couple of times, told me that as I prayed for her I mentioned healing of lungs and the breaking of fear. I had no way of knowing that she had suffered with very bad asthma and chronic anxiety. As I prayed for her, she felt 'power' going through her body and began breathing deeply and freely. Her anxiety was also greatly reduced. After the service she said, 'I can still feel that power now! I am totally blown away!'

It was also great to spend time with a retired couple who were great mentors in my early days of faith and they remain an inspiration to this day.
