Street Child Feeding & Rescue ministry
RSVP sponsors a Street Child Feeding and Rescue Project in Kigali which caters for around 200 street children. Through our partner organisation ANLM, we provide more than 20,000 meals every year for Street Children.
Twice a week children are offered a substantial meal, health check, sports activities and teaching about lifestyle and the gospel.
Older children are offered skills training such as carpentry to obtain a skill in life. ANLM workers are able to advise the children in life issues and their future.
Eventually, as trust is built up, some of the children are helped off the street into a care home. It is not possible to take children off the street before trust has been established - they just run away again.
